If you’ve been on YouTube for any amount of time I’m sure you’ve  come across the Swedish gamer Pewdiepie (Felix Kjellberg) who currently has 34 million subscribers. While there is no doubt he’s extremely popular, so much so he has recently been featured on a couple of South Park episodes, I myself do not see the appeal. His grating and shriek voice just annoys the shit out of, but then again, I’m probably not the target market. You probably have to be a 13 year old boy to find his humour amusing. If you like gaming videos, like me but hate screeching Swedes that bang on about bros, here are some other options.

Conan Clueless Gamer:

Conan’s lack of interest in gaming in juxtaposition with Aaron’s love of gaming is the perfect balance. With a few guest stars along the way, including the man I want to be best friends with, Marshawn Lynch, it’s nice to see a gamer who’s pretty much more hopeless than I am.

React:

The Fine Brothers have been making React videos for a while now (Kids, Teens, Elders and YouTubers), but they’ve expanded that franchise to include reactions to games. The best by far have to be the elders interacting online while they “play” Call Of Duty and the teens reacting to the frightening Outlast, which is currently at 6 parts, and makes me jump/scream every time, because I am a giant baby.

Smosh Games:

Smosh are pretty much synonymous with YouTube, and I have no idea how many channels they have, it feels like hundreds. I don’t mind their gaming channel, they had pretty good Sims 4 videos. That franchise that was a part of many of our childhood (and adult) gaming experiences. Plus they get to do stuff like hang out with Nintendo’s Miyamoto. No big deal. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
