Following globally sold out shows, dance violinist Lindsey Stirling has now announced her 2015 tour line up to include shows across the US, Europe, Canada, New Zealand and making a return back to Australia from last year.
Stirling originally began her rise to fame in 2010, during season five of America’s Got Talent. Making it to the quarter finals, she was sadly informed by judge Piers Morgan: “You’re not untalented but you’re not good enough to get away with flying through the air and trying to play the violin at the same time.” Sharon Osbourne then followed up Piers’ comment: “You need to be in a group, what you’re doing is not enough to fill a theatre in Vegas.”
Staying true to herself and her music, Stirling began to promote herself through YouTube with the help of cinematographer, Devin Graham who filmed her very first music video “Spontaneous Me”. Now an internet sensation, she now solo performs for sold out crowds all over the world. Stirling’s music is also now featured on many music apps such as Pandora, Spotify and Last.FM.
Back again in 2015with her unique style of performance, she plans a mission of a tour across many cities bringing fans the amazing sound that can only ever be Lindsey Stirling. Tickets are available starting this Thursday 11th December from 10am. In the meantime, here’s a sneak preview of Stirling’s work from her collaboration with the newly released video game, Dragon Age: Inquisition.
